Thousand Oaks UMC has a long history of making faith real by showing compassion to our struggling neighbors, near and far. This congregation is dedicated to missions locally, nationally, and globally through acts of service, prayers, and financial gifts. We know this is how Jesus wants us to live... in loving community with one another.

Making Birthing kits for haiti

Haiti has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the developing world.  A group of Methodist Churches gathered together at Thousand Oaks UMC to make 500 birthing kits that will be sent to Haiti and distributed by UMCOR.
We also took advantage of this opportunity to raise funds for Grace Children's Hospital in Haiti, Haiti's leading hospital for treating children.  The hospital was devastated in the 2010 earthquake and is still rebuilding.  If you would like to make a contribution to this critical resource for Haiti's children and families please consider giving at www.InternationalChildCare.org
